REFLECTION ON INFORMATION TOOLS

Informative tools are applications that provide a great amount of information in various formats: text, image, audio, video, and graphics. They are very useful both for students and teachers because they make lessons more interesting and easier to understand. From my understanding, the informative tool helps students learn better because each format serves a specific purpose. It allows them to see, read, and analyze information together. When teachers use pictures or a short text with a diagram to explain one topic, for example, students may understand that topic clearly and remember it longer.

Through text-based learning, it helps in the in-depth information, explanation, and facts of a topic in a structured way. It allows students to think critically, boost their vocabularies, enhancing their creativity, and also allow reflection on the content at their own pace. I learned that using text in learning makes students independent. For example, a textbook, articles provide clear guidance and deeper understanding of the subject. I understand that for explaining the concepts in detail, providing detail information, guiding learning, encouraging self-learning, teachers should use text for better understanding.

Image and graphics such as photographs, diagrams, charts, and posters help provide information in a quick way and visually effective. Learning through images captures the attention of students, thus making lessons more interesting and meaningful. To my understanding, using images in teaching helps students visualize what is being taught. It allows students to see what they are learning about, thus making learning more real and engaging. Images can be used in the classroom to introduce new topics and support the explanation. By looking at an image, students can observe, analyze, and thus able to interpret what they observe. I strongly believe that images are the most powerful informative tool in making teaching and learning more interactive, creative, and effective.
