Communicative tools

Communicative tools are any kind of digital application, software, or technologies that enable interaction and exchange of information between instructors and students or students among themselves. It aids in overcoming time management and distances in facilitating effective communication through such tools as e-mail, social media, google classroom, Padlet, Mentimeter, and discussion forums.

I understand that communicative tools are essential in modern education because it made commutation faster, helps in more interactive and engaging, it helps to encourage collaboration, sharing of ideas, and active participation among students. For example, tools like Google Docs let students work together in real time, while Padlets and Mentimeter create spaces for feedback and discussion. Employing such tools not only nurtures learning but also helps students acquire 21st-century digital skills like online collaboration, communication, and problem-solving. Besides, they make teaching more flexible by supporting both synchronous and asynchronous communication.

These communicative tools could be implemented in the classroom through blended or fully online learning approaches. As a future teacher, I will apply the use of social media responsibly for disseminating learning materials and updates.

Camtasia video makes recording from the screen and edits videos that help instructors to create either an instructional video, tutorial, or presentation. This allows the voice narration, visuals, and animation to make lessons more appealing. I will record the lessons or demonstrate and share with my students. This will make learning more flexible.

The Mentimeter's Word Cloud is a visual representation of the students' responses where the most mentioned words appear larger. This is an interactive tool that lets everybody in the class share thoughts or ideas in real time using their phones. This helps the teacher view common ideas, prior knowledge, or key concepts students associate with a particular topic. This is a very interactive, colorful way of making lessons interactive. I am going to integrate this in an interactive way. I will be sharing the links and codes with my students so that they can fill in the words. Based on this, I will be in a position to visually assess understanding and ensure active participation and collaboration in class.
